Fishing.

Outside the hotel there is a pond where fish can be caught literally on the doorstep! It is an ideal family activity. If you want something a little more demanding there is always Salmon or trout fishing in Breiðdalsá.

Bird Watching.

There are many bird watching spots in and around Breiðdalsvik. Birds to watch out for are Eider, Whimbrel, Puffin and numerous species of sea bird. You should check out the season for the birds you would like to watch.

Hiking

This summer a new horse riding and outdoor adventure centre is opening at the historic farm of Höskuldsstaðir. Rides, tailored to suit your needs, can be arranged as required from 1 hour with 15 minutes instruction to 2 hours or longer. Abseiling

Winter Activities.

Game

Breiðdalur is situated in prime game land. There are birds, fish and a great variety of game to be had in the valley and highlands. Contact us or the information centre for watching, hunting, fishing or sightseeing.
